I've also not gotten 180 for a breakfast buffet and 150 for another IMAX movie so it's not guaranteed (they have the least transparent comp point system I have ever seen).Īnyway, playing for comps is a bad idea but there are places where it's less of a losing strategy than others. Out of the 4000 points you need for copper (free parking, slot payback), I've earned 150 for seeing an IMAX movie and 220 for eating a nice dinner. They give 10 points for every dollar of resort spend (in theory, sometimes they're jerks about it and just don't give it to you).
Tropicana is a great place to play for a lot of comps without a lot of gambling. They even give you 5 tier points for parking (not much, but hey). (at the restaurants they own) to 1:1 has been awesome. For those of us who are not big gamblers, their move from 1 tier point for every $5 in food, etc. With CET you get the added advantage of 1:1 tier points for all restaurant and hotel spend.
